Any tips?

Today on the highway truck started shaking at about 50 MPH, had rough idles until I got home. From a stop it took forever to get to speed, had to floor it with rough shifts at high RPMs. Let it sit all day and still shakes when engine comes on, although it almost died twice while idling.

2005 4.2 V6 - stock everything. 5,000 miles ago I did have new tires put on (same size as OEM), and replaced the pads and rotors myself. Just rolled 82k miles.

Where should I start? Thanks for any tips guys.

 

Is it possible that you got some bad gas?

 

82k is about the time where you need new spark plugs, I'd change them. When was the last time you changed the fuel filter?
