Towing mirror - heated/turn on drivers side issues

So another member, Lifted5.4Lariat, just sent me a PM about an issue he was having and after testing I have the same issue. We both did the towing mirror conversion and followed the install guide on the forums.

Drivers side:
- Heated mirror do not work
- Turn signal works fine
- Push heated mirror button and put on drivers side turn signal and signal won't work, turn off heated mirror button and turn signal starts to work fine.

Passenger side:
- Everything works perfect

The install should have been the same for both sides correct?

We both did:

move pin 9 to pin 8 slot and remove pin 2, cut the wire leaving a pig tail and move it to pin 11. Wire the pig tail to the black wire with blue stripe in the drivers door seal that is wired for the doom lights.

I did the conversion, and had the problem you mentioned prior to moving the pins. Check LAB Mans post on how he did it. I followed it exactly, and everything is fine. I didn't cut or splice any wires ( I didn't feel like hooking up the puddle lamps) perhaps this is where the issue lies.

there are two black/lt blue wires behind the kick panel. it sounds like you hooked it to the wrong one. email me at fx4hoss@hotmail.com and i can send you what i used to install mine.
