Does anyone know if Akebono has changed their brake pad formulation? I ran a set on the front of my 07 for over 98K miles, never once did they make a sound. I recently replaced pads on both axles as well as put new Centrix rotors on. These things make horrible groaning noises for the first few applications in the morning. It doesn't matter if the truck is in drive or in reverse for the noise. I've looked at each rotor and there is no sign of rust forming over night. It has to be something in the pads themselves.

FWIW, I tried contacting Akebono to ask and they never responded to my email.

I've not put more then 5K on these annoying things. Has anyone else experienced this?
