long shot question

hey guys i have a vibration/ rattle accelerating slowly through 950 rmp. Its coming from what sounds like the drivers side somewhere infront of the drivers seat... sounds awful. I cant find anything loose under the hood. It only happens at 950 rpm. if i hold it steady at 950 it will continue to do it. Its driving me nuts! figured id post on here to see if anyone has had an issue like this. Probably a long shot but dont wanna take it in just yet. Thanks for reading.

Heat shield on the cat?

If it's engine RPM sensitive, I don't see how it could be the driveshaft. It's engine or exhaust related.

Does it sound like an engine noise or just something loose?

check all the nuts/bolts especially on the heat shields tying to the frame/cross member. if you had exhaust work make sure all those are tightened down as well
