difficulty finding rims & tires

hey everybody! I'm a fairly new f150 owner, I have an 07 supercrew(4 door) black with silver 2 tone on the bottom, chrome mirrors, handles, side rails, grill and bumpers. anyway with the wheels this truck has too much chrome.
my first step is replacing the wheels, kinda looking towards monsters, rockstars or metals. the only problem is that they are too black so I was looking at something with some chrome to blend in with the truck so I mentioned the spy's looked good but the salesman said the size wouldn't look good on the truck? offset was bad?
so what size would be good? 20's with what size rubber? or should I go with 18's with nittos in a 295/70-18? what would a 295/70-18 be equal to in a 18?
wow, lots of typing for an iPhone. :-)
thx in advance!

The Spy's are available in
17x8 +18 offset
17x9 -12 offset
18x8.5 +18 offset
18x9 -12 offset
20x8.5 +18 offset
20x9 -12 offset
All in the necessary 6x135 bolt pattern

I think they would look very nice on your truck. The +18 offset would stick out around 1" more then the factory wheels and the -12 would stick out around 2" more than the factory wheels. Those dimensions will vary slightly depending on your final choice of tire size.
Hopefully some others who are more knowledgable, will chime in and either comfirm my offsets or set me straight if I am wrong.
I suspect the your tire wheel dealer has some other reason that he is not mentioning as to why he is steering you away from the Spy's.

Yeah shouldn't be a problem. My tires have about -12 offset on 295/ 70R17's and it sticks out, I don't know that I have ever taken an exact measurement on it. Feel free to look through my gallery to see how they look.

if you're doing 20's and a level I would stick with 33's

I have 20x9 with +18 offset..no trimming

why stick with 33's? just because no trimming is needed?

Doesn't put undue stress on the drive train and also won't hurt the mpgs as much......

I've got these for sale in the classifieds:https://www.f150online.com/forums/pa...titan-6-a.html

I was able to run a 35" tire with only a 2" leveling kit, no trimming, no rubbing.
