2004 F150 wont start, but runs...

I have a 2004 F150, While driving today, i started to roll up the passenger window and it stopped. In fact all windows stopped working. Figured it was a fuse no big deal. Came back out to my truck, and it wouldn't start. Everything comes on, but nothing from the starter as if my alarm was disabling it. So I tried the remote start, and it fired right up. I drove it home with no issues other than the windows. I have now checked all the fuses and breakers. Completely took the remote start/ alarm out thinking it was that. But same issue.

Has anyone got an idea of what I can check or do?

Everything else works, lights, radio, gauges, door chimes, locks, etc.

Do you still have the stock alarm installed? It will lockout the truck if tripped until it is reset. If you don't have the control module anymore you can try undoing the negative battery terminal or if you have the door keypad press the last 2 buttons on the right at the same time which will lock the vehicle and activate the stock alarm, then type in the code to unlock.

Usually you need the stock key fob to deactivate the alarm once it trips.

Try unhooking the neg battery terminal then reconnecting it. This will completely reset the computer.

Thanks for the replies and the ideas. Some how my window module (aftermarket to roll up and down through the alarm) sorted out. When doing so, it must have sent a current through something that it wasnt suppose to. The main issue was the key itself. When I took the spare key and tried starting, everything was fine. I removed the window module and returned to stock and the windows work now as well. I guess the short messed the chip up in my key. But, 6 hours later, im glad thats all it was.
