Update...

Took truck back on June 27 because it wasn't fixed..got the call from dealer next day, unable to confirm customer complaint...went up following day, went for drive with their tranny tech, was able to duplicate customer complaint. They kept it until 7/6. I now have a data recorder in the truck.

They are shifting the cause from the transmisssion to a misfire...even though they have tested all 8 coils and they have all passed.

The transmission hasn't shuddered yet since getting it back, but it now boggs down real bad after it shifts into overdrive.

Regards!

Have they looked at your injectors?
On 2005 5.4 3v's they had injectors that could go bad....there is a sticky in the v8 engine sub forum you might want to look at......FYI>>>https://www.f150online.com/forums/v8...ram-07m08.html

I don't think they have looked at the injectors...I did have one changed about a year and a half ago...I had a real bad break down...new head on drivers side, and catalytic converter, and injector. Repair was covered under the extended warranty at a cost of $ 100.00 for about $ 7k worth of work.

Drove truck this weekend about 150 miles with recorder. It has jerked a few times, and slipped real bad under hard acceleration. The transmission is worse since they messed with it. My problem now is that I leave for vacation on the 16th, and need my truck (going to scout camp), but I know that whatever they find won't be fixed by then, and I am kind of afraid to drive it like it is.

Gonna go back to the dealer today, and have them pull the recorder.

Regards!
