4X4 not working

4X4 not working
ok when i engage my 4 wheel drive it clicks over and light comes on.
If im on grass or gravel and give it gas theres a grinding noise coming from the front left tire area. and tire does not spin from power its just pushing.
replaced the vacuum solinode on the firewall, no change TC motor works.
when i jack up the tire the wheel spins freely in 2wd and axel stays still, thats with the truck on, when i switch over to 4wd HI tire and axel move.
