gryphoon questions.

id like to get the pcm reflash for my truck that stops the flare up in rpms between certain shifts, but i see this messes with the gryphoon.

i just want the normal gryphoon right not the cs one

this one

do i need to do a tune? all im looking to do is make the trans stop being so sluggish and correct tire size when i get tires.

any horsepower gains with 87 octane tunes or is the advertised performance gains on 93 octane?

does it come with the dash piece i need to hold it or is that seprate

how hard to install?

Gryphon from PHP, comes with everything you need to install including the dash pod. Installation is super easy, can be done in 5-10 minutes. The canned tunes are all better than factory. I suggest running level 2 (89oct) or level 3 (91-93 oct), both will drastically improve your shifts. If you have would like to get custom tunes thats always an option too.

If you do not already have one, get the TSB reflash done, and supply that new strategy calibration hex code to PHP. They will build on that factory calibration.

i had the reflash done for this before i got my edge. i take it you don't have the gryphon yet? if so, why not just take it in and get the reflash done before you order your gryphon?

oh it works like that, i thought you had to do a gryphoon and no reflash. i was planning on getting it reflashed anyways, so i would just tell php i have the reflash and they build me a tune on that?

anything else out there i should be doing to my truck along the lines of this reflash, since i didnt know it existed until i googled for it?

You would use the shipped Gryphon to read the strategy code from yer reflashed PCM. Bill will take it from there.

Nothing else you need to do - just take it in & git 'er did
