New Ford owner...

Recently bought an '06 4x4 screw, which is my first Ford product, and what led me to this forum... You've all contributed greatly to my ever-growing wish list, so the wife thanks you for giving me more reasons to spend money and pull extra shifts

Anyway, the image below is just before I pulled it off the lot. I wanted to put up a list of intended mods and seek input on your experiences with each.
-Front window tint (complete)
-Window visors (complete - I know some of you don't like them, but I do)
-Gotts mod (complete)
-Leveling kit
-Black wheels of some sort
-Saleen grill
-Getting rid of the chrome bumpers (swap, paint, or bedliner)
-Paint or bedline the step rails
-black bull bar
-different head/tail lights
-anything else that comes to mind

Nice truck. Where are you located? I'd swap bumpers with you. Mine are perfect from an '08 without fogs. You'd need to paint them the right color of course.

I'm near Nashville, TN... and I'd certainly entertain a swap.

I can't tell by the picture you posted, but in the 2006 model they changed the bumpers (front and back). If it is built after Aug 5th, 2005, you should should stick with 07/08 bumpers. If it is before that date, you'll have to get 04/05 bumpers.

I can tell you, it wasn't cheap when I had my XL bumpers repainted to match. I can also tell you, its possibly my favorite exterior mod.

Yeah, I've got a quote for $400 to paint both IF I can get a set that's already painted... a body shop buddy of mine said he was not a fan of painting over chrome. So if I buy a set (~$500) to get painted, I'm looking right at a grand to get what I want... Might get lucky and trade or find a junkyard set, but still have the four hundred dollar paint job.

I had considered the bed cover lining route, as some of the pics I've seen looked nice.

Wish we were closer. I'd trade with you in an instant.
