What Do You DO When Towing Heavy Loads to Reduce Sagging in the Back?

I recently started towing a tractor on a trailer, boat etc. Sags a good bit in the back and makes me wonder if it is safe. HAve any of yo uaded springs or the air lift helper deals? What results? Thx

First, how much weight are you towing? Whats the total tongue weight?

Does your truck have the tow package? Lets make sure your not exceeding your tow capability. Pretty sure your not with the boat but what about that tractor?

Assuming you aren't exceeding the towing capability of an F-150, which towing a tractor might be, I would suggest getting Air helper springs.

Firestone Ride-Rites are an option that comes up on these forums often.

I knew someone woudl ask tyhe tongue weight. I don't know how to figure it. I'm a dumbass ok. The tractor is likely 3,500 or so. The boat, 2k. It tows fine, but the back end is WAYYYYYYYYYYY low. Thx again.

When I installed my 2" level spacer, I also installed the Firestone Air bags due to the sag when towing. Really helps!!!

Go take the rig to a truck scale and weigh the front and rear truck axles. Then unhitch the trailer and weigh the front and rear truck axles. The difference between the total truck weights with and without the trailer is the tongue weight.

OR

just go to a truck scale, unhook the trailer, and put the trailer tongue jack on the scale.

Make sure the tongue is sitting at ride height.

This is the proper way to check tongue weight.
