king ranch or fx4

Hey guys, new to the forum. Im in the market for a 05-08 f150. I usually would go black on black but thats gettting a little stale for me so I thought maybe a king ranch. Do they have any advantages over the fx4 other than cosmetic? Obviously 08 would be the best bet but they also cost 7k more than a 05...any advice? Is there any features I should be looking out for like tow package aux cooler or does the king ranch come with everything optional?

King Ranch, has all that and with a tow pkg. Same as FX4, some don't have a column shift it was an option I think in'06? Others will chime in, but you really can't go wrong with either package. I chose my FX4 because I like the pkg itself. BUT I do really like the soft supple leather in the KR. Good luck and happy shopping. Hope you get what you want.

My opinion is King Ranch, but you can't go wrong either way. If you are rough on interiors the FX4 might be better for you as the KR takes a little more care to keep looking really good.

X2, I do not have a KR, but my buddy does. Don't get me wrong it still looks good, but it seems to show signs of wear a little more than standard leather (lariat/fx4). I think if you are willing to keep it clean and conditioned you will be good. You will find that there are more bells and whistles with the KR. As others have said, either way you go, you cant go wrong. Post pics of what you find.
