Either way nice truck man.

Edit: Looked at there webiste, there out of their mind asking 40k for an 08, hope you got them down alot.
It's Gibson Truck World. Do a little research on them. They spray paint every single item under a truck. No i'm not exaggerating. Wait, they call it undercoating. They sell a lot of high mileage trucks, a lot of northern and western(Texas) trucks. They sell trucks that had goosenecks in them and put drop in bedliners in to cover up the holes. They also tend to buy stock trucks with all above then throw a cheap lift kit on to appeal to buyers. I've never heard a good thing about them.

Mac, I hope your truck turns out to be a good story.

Ya and i noticed they throw a 6" lift on with about the same wheels and tires on every truck to catch the eye of a little rich kid who wants a lifted truck.

You hit the nail on the head. The sad part...................it works.

Not to mention the few times I was there, the salesmen were completely ignorant along with the manager.

Ok. A few things to understand about Gibson. They HAD a really bad reputation back in the day until they started making money and now they are actually a stand up dealership. I brought my buddy who is a diesel mechanic with a local Ford dealer with me to check everything out himself. All parts checked out, even the lift which they dont do anymore. My truck was sold originally at Bradenton Ford and then bought by Gibson in Naples at an auction. 1 owner vehicle with no performance mods done, YET. Lift was done by the original owner which I have paperwork on and the tires were put on by Gibson. Brand new Nitto Trail Graplers, which in a 37 are not cheap ($400 each).

fx4tough07 - learn to read before you type. I wrote "I left with money in my pockets and will still have plenty left once I make my payment each month." This simply means we made the deal work without cash out of my pocket for a down payment.

I know the whole Gibson story which most people do as well which is why I asked for so much info on the truck I bought from them. Simply put, as a buyer do your research so you dont get screwed over like some dumb@$$es have in the past.

Thanks Curtis, I believe I have but like anything mechanical you never know.

Mac
Then you need to be more specific when YOU type, because that could mean a number of things. One including you traded yours for more than you bought theirs for, therefore leaving with money in your pocket.
