New "mods" for my truck...pics!
New "mods" for my truck...pics!
My truck is set up pretty much how I want so mods I look for are relatively minor and inexpensive. Here are some recent purchases installed over the last couple of weeks:
First off, my VLED interior LEDs always seemed to burn out quickly, and no two would match. This always bugged me especially the front dome lights. Well, I finally went with the 9-LED towers from Autolumination. MUCH better:

My brake pedal pad kept falling off so I finally decided to do something about it! I went with the HD pads off of eBay. Installation wasn't as easy as I would've expected, but after an hour or so, here's what they look like:

This next set of mods were done a year and three years ago respectively, but I never took a pic and posted it. They are an oem '07 audiophile stereo with aux tray, and the FX4 badge on the dash. The badge was going on the tailgate, but I never like the way it looked, so on the dash it went.

Finally, I replaced my Fusion key with a new Flip Key off of eBay. One of the things I missed about my wife's VW Jetta was the cool flip key. I stumbled on this key accidentally and since I've had it, I LOVE it! It's bulkier than the Fusion key but I am used to the Jetta key so its fine...plus it looks better. It has an internal LED that lights when the buttons are pressed. Oh, and it is PATS compatible and programs like any other PATS key.

My next major mod will be an exhaust system but at this point, I am not in any hurry...
Modding, especially cheap modding, is addicting!

Thanks...about three years ago when these things first appeared, every member and his mother were buying these up and typically putting them on the back of their trucks. I like it on the dash better:
Google "programming F150 PATS key" or pm me when you're ready. You will need at least TWO keys to add more.
How much do the fusion keys run?
and Will do
EDIT: Now that I look at the other fusion key, the flip key is much more B.A.

Tell us more about the key mod.
Does it have to be cut to fit the ignition switch ?
Where and from whom on ebay did you purchase yours ? Pretty much everything I see there for F15's is from Taiwan and Hongkong.

The key is a blank and must be cut...suggest using a locksmith instead of the old guy at the local Ace Hardware. As for programming, the process requires two original keys to program a new one. It must be a security issue.
As for buying the key, do an eBay search for "f150 flip key", the seller is "artiway". I believe he is out of Taiwan but I received my key in a week. Key was $48 which much cheaper than the Fusion key I bought about 3yrs ago.
The pedals are oem Harley pedals and are all over eBay.

Yeah man that thing looks sick right there! If you dont mind me asking where did you get it from?
Thanks. I just searched for "harley f150 pedals" and got 2 hits, both of which are $250. I think it's stupid the pedal has to come attached to the arm.
