Help diagnosing an electrical issue...

I think I may already know what it is, but I won't mention it so that others won't be swayed and to not look like a fool if I'm wrong. Haha.

I have a 2005 F150, 5.4L, SCrew, 4x4. It's close to 5 years old and has 52k miles on it. I experienced a problem this morning that has happened in the past, twice that I can recall.

My gauges appeared to be stuck in the off position after starting the truck. They would stay in this position and appear to be shaking and an audible clicking sound would come from the panel. This occurred for approximately 5 to 7 seconds and then it went to normal. When this has happened, my clock would be reset back to 12:00. My radio presets would still be set, but not on any of my presets, on an AM station, maybe 590.

Now, in the past week, my radio clock has been reset without the gauges acting funny and my brother in law (who has a 2005 F150 similar to mine) said that my truck sounded weird when starting. Like it didn't have enough power.

I have also experienced my truck acting like it won't start but does crank over. Like a lack of power, or juice. Hint to my assumption of the problem.

What do you think?

Replacing the battery fixed it.
