I NEED A QUICK RESPONSE!!!... I took apart the throttle body and the pvc black K&N 90degree elbow that is under the throttle body and cleaned that too... Im trying to assemble everything and I put the 90degree elbow but now Im trying to put the throttle body to the elbow and my bolts wont fasten to anything... There wasnt any nuts holding these bolts from the throttlebody to the 90degree elbow was there? Im like amnesiac or something..... what the hell? I have the 05 5.4liter

Wow, surprised thats still around! That was off of my 2000, guess I need to do an updated one for the 2008! Use the proper cleaner and don't worry about the "coating."

Picture? Is this specific to the K&N setup, or the stock TB?

Just did mine today about 2 hours ago.Had code po506 after the dealer replaced transmission.Did a idle learn but i guess it didnt work.So got the MAF cleaner and throttle body cleaner.Took off the throttle body and cleaned it real good.Reused the seal.Seem to be fine to me.Also took off the battery cable to clear the light.Did another idle learn.Drove truck around And I can really notice a differance.Throttle response was great! felt like her old self again...VERY HAPPY!!!!

Not worth the risk - some contain unwanted additives (lubricants, etc.)

Best to stay with a function-specific cleaner:

^^^ I used the CRC cleaner yesterday when I cleaned my TB and my truck drives great now. The CRC cleaner says it is safe for coated TBs and that is why I choose it over the B-12 Chemtool throttle body cleaner. My custom tune that I got 2 weeks ago feels much stronger than before.
Thanks for the advice guys.
