Hows this for good MPG?
Ok heres the deal guys. That average shown on the Gryphon display is the average shown in real time while your driving. Its not a per-tank average. Im assuming when you guys are saying to check the old fashion way you mean by recording the mileage at fill up and then comparing the miles traveled per fuel burned at the next fill up. Of course that average is going to be lower than what it is on my 12 mile drive home from work. Thats not really an apples to apples comparison in my book.
RICKY BOBBY - I had it green for the longest time and then was messing with the colors and decided to leave it purple for a change, of course it just had to be on purple when I took the pic.

Tire sizes
The gas mileage on my truck always comes out right or within a tenth or two. I Hyperteched mine to correct for the tire size after I put on the lift and the DuraTracs. I just drove 180+ miles last week and the mileage was exactly what I figured out manually.
Not that I'm defending FoMoCo (Hello, $800 sparkplug job!), but how many people complaining about the dash computer being wrong aren't running the OEM spec tires any more? Every tire brand and style is a bit different.
Just my thoughts...

I have an 06 4X4, 5.4 (completely stock) and typically get at least 21 MPG when I travel to northern MI in the summer. Drops to 18/19.5 during winter trips This is under ideal conditions - very little wind, stopping infrequently, 63 MPH (not 65
) with very little traffic, cruise on pretty much the whole way, very light acceleration entering the highway and 250 mile trip. I check it manually. What cuases the mileage to go down in the winter? The cold or different fuel blend or....?

I went to a motorcycle event in Johnstown Pa a few years ago with my 600 lb vmax in the bed.....when I stopped for gas on my way home I averaged 21 and change also....this was 95% non stop highways then about 5% back roads to get to the hotel.....truck hates to start and stop....that is where the mileage kills ya. 6k starting and stopping is a lot of weight to keep starting from a standstill.

I played with the colors on mine to and the purple does look cool.
