Wireless remote (key chain) entry distance

What type of distance do you get with your wireless remote? It seems like I need to be right on top my truck before it will activate the locks or the panic button. On my old '95 F-150 I could be a good 50 - 60 feet away, so I was wondering if my batteries (both remotes) are about dead or did they limit the distance with the newer trucks?

Thanks

Its time for new batteries. I have no problem with anything less than a 100'

OK thanks guys. I just did not want to spend the money on something I did not really need if they just limited the range of these.

I liked the range of the one on my '95 for 2 reasons when my GF was driving it she could use the panic button at a greater distance to get peoples attention if she needed it, & we kept the keys on the night stand in the bedroom. If someone would be trying to break in at night when I was at work she could hit the panic button & the lights & horn would be going off on the truck parked in front of the house to scare off the person. (She is not too keen on my guns, yet. We have a 95 lb male GSD too.) There have not been any problems with break ins around my house, but one never knows when & if.
