Gas gauge not moving after fill

My gas gauge was not moving after filling the tank and also the display was also still reading low fuel . But after driving the last couple days the gauge has move to the half full position. Any ideas how to fix this ? It has happened once before to.

Other than this my truck has been running great . 06 4X4 Lariat Screw with 36000

That happens to mine if I don't shut the truck off and leave the key off when I fill the tank.

x-2 only happens when i don't turn power off but if you did turn the power off i would throw in a bottle or two of techron you can get it at costco pretty reasonable.

yep, even my '97 is like that. if you leave it running while you fill it it will take forever to go up to the proper level...but as long as you kill it it will shoot right up to where it should be...

I always shut the truck off during the filling stage. I'll try the the cleaner additive.

Thanks
