Service nightmare

Okay, so, last Monday, August 2nd I drop my truck off at the dealer here in town.

Suspected manifold leak and I thought maybe the torque converter was making some noise. It wasn't the torque converter, but something to do with the tensioners on the timing chain. Whatever.

August 2nd.

I also have an extended warranty.

For what should have been a 2-3 day job TOPS... was dragged out until TODAY, August 13th. (Well, tomorrow, hang on for the that) The warranty co had to send an inspector out 3 separate times to look things over, and he took he sweet time at every occasion. I got a rental out of them, yea me. I didn't get the rental car insurance coverage, stupid me. Someone broke out the rear window of the roller skate they gave me. POOF, $500 gone.

Last part...
Now, tell me this, the numbnutz from Woodhouse called me, said my truck is done. Said it's running fine "right now". He said they wanted to keep it overnight, start everything and run it again tomorrow. Who the #%@& keeps a truck overnight for observation??? My truck had better freaking talk to me, have turbo boost, and stop bullets tomorrow.

This is a HUGE THUMBS DOWN to Woodhouse Ford, and the warranty Co, MBPi.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.......
But.....
The warranty company is just trying to cover its butt.
And......
They want to keep it overnight for a cold start observation the next day to make sure they fixed it.

I don't fault the warranty co for wanting to check this out. The thing that gets me, is it sat for THREE DAYS last week, and THREE DAYS this week, waiting to be inspected. The service dept only worked on one part at a time. When they had the motor tore down, they could have gotten to the manifold to have that ready. They were just extremely inefficient. That is my major complaint here.

i have always found if you get a aftermarket warranty go with the manufactures you don't have to wait for so bozo to come out and inspect but at least they covered the repair and rental and as you found out get there insurance so i hope your truck is fixed right.
