i have a flip on mine which is a 05 his body style and no c notch, does it hit? yes but very very rarely, now on your body style if you drop it 6" you need a c notch but a flip only drops it 5........so not so silly if you ask me, why cut and weaken the frame if you dont have to?

so gettin back on track to the original question and away from BUYING KITS. my friend said to take the leaf springs off and flip them. 'IS IT TRUE AND IS IT BAD?'. thats all i asked, if it was true. funny how ppl want to make immature comments about somethin that doesnt even affect them.
if you're just gonna post negative ****.

Flip the springs and your axle will always be sitting on the bumpstops. Get some lowering shackles for a 2 or 3" drop or look to specific lowering leaf springs.
1. i dont drive it hard(i dont dog it out, no mud ridin, no off roadin, i dont evn go 80)
i drove my 99 ranger with a 3.0 faster and harder, took it muddin, and raced it every day. never had ANYTHING wrong with that truck.
2. the it was the plastic under the bolts that broke, have to complety replace it.
3. the 2008 is known for having all these problems.
4. oval, y dont you quit following my threads if you're just gonna post negative ****. i cant even ask a simple question without you bein derogatory.

Never heard of another 2008 having all these problems.
Your downing your own truck man. I answered all your questions so far in this thread.

sell your truck out right if you hate it so much. if it such a terrible truck, sell it for what you think it's "worth" and someone will get a good deal on a good truck.
now that thats out of the way, drop the truck with a kit, if you flip your leafs and ride on bumpstops all day, you'll be whining and griping even more than you are right now. do it right the first time, and with a quality product, and you'll be happy with the outcome

^^ What he said, do it right or you'll regret it later. Suspension mods often require drive-line and steering changes too, so kits are the right way to go.
My dad co-signed a loan for my first vehicle back in '78 and I am eternally grateful. I maintained the car well, but drove it hard and did cause damage (a common folly of youth). I paid for the repairs and learned valuable lessons. I never heard of any machine that didn't have issues at one time or another. The more radical the modifications, the more likely problems will occur.
