towing capacity

i have a 2006 f150 xlt 2wd and im wondering how tough it would be to haul a car trailer with my jeep on it.. i would be doing it a lot because the jeep is no longer street legal! do you think i will have any problems towing this or is it time for a bigger truck?

Depend upon the weight. If the combined weight of the Jeep and trailer is below 5000lbs, you can easily do it without anything but a brake controller. Over that and you need a weight distribution hitch. Would not go over about 7k with the 150, and lower is better.

Also stay away from oversize tires, etc, unless you decide to upgrade your gears.

Then you will probably have to keep it under 5k. May be wrong, but I don't think you will be able to use a WD hitch on a lifted truck. The hitch and truck are rated at 500/5000lb weight without a WD hitch. still will need trailer brakes though.

It is a good thing you went to a 4.56.

It should pull it just fine. Just don't let the tranny "hunt" for gears and keep the TQ locked as much as possible.
