Blow to the transmision.

Gentlemen, my FX4, 2007 has 305/70/17 tires, but when traffic to 30-40 mph and makes the change to second gear, gives a blow to the transmision. The several workshops have been approved for programming with the new rubber and persists this coup.Buy a DiabloSport and not be resolved.I install a larger diameter tires, like 315/70/17, or I can do.

So you've installed larger diameter tires and changed the tire size with a Predator and you're experiencing a hard 1-2 shift? Was the transmission shifting hard before the tire swap.... what about before the Predator? It could be a broken spring in the 1-2 accumulator valve and have nothing to do with the other issues.

at 30-40mph his tranny is not going from 1 to 2! i think his problem lies in the 2-3 range.

then again if hes power shifting it from 1 to 2 i guess the tach at 5000 rpm might make it slam into gear.

I think he's talking about a kickdown - 3 to 2 - "passing gear".

We need to bear with this guy - any Spanish speakers around to help? In another thread, he says he's in Venezuela.

Leonardo, the issue you are having with the transmission slamming into second gear is addressed in TSB 09-20-14Oct09. The problem you are having is that the torque converter is engaging uncommanded at the shift point. This is creating the slamming or blow to the transmission. If you have a Ford Dealership in the area, you'll need to put the original chip in the truck and get it back to factory specs. The dealership can then reflash or reprogram the PCM so that you don't have the issue.

Hope this translates for you.
