So I'm get out of Home Depot and jump into my truck and shut the door. As I go to start the truck I hear "thud" and my left side drops a little. WTF??

I go out and look and my spring broke right in the middle. I guess I'll be doing that this weekend. Doesn't drive really bad, it just doesn't feel right.

Anyone have an extra spring that they want to sell?

 

got one at work actually !!! 70+ shipping did springs on a truck with one side broken so salvaged the other good one haha

 

Are all of these springs the same, or did Ford use different springs for different models. My truck was a salvage truck and I had to put a new frame on it. When I bought the frame, a wheel assembly including an extra spring came with it. I thought that the spring that came with the frame was smaller than the springs that were on my truck. Is this right?

Can you give me the dimensions of your spring by chance so I can compare with what I have.

 

well there are 7700 GVW and 4x4 springs ... the 2wd i believe are the same too just hte struts for a 4wd are longer to add the extra clearance... 7700 gvw is a 7lug BTW

 

OK - the spring I have is 16 3/4" long. There is a tag on it that says 4L34 5310-TA 90/11758.

Ok, my Door Sticker states that I have this spring:

U — 4L34-5310-UA — F-150/Mark LT


and I have this as a replacement:

T — 4L34-5310-TA — F-150/Mark LT


Does anyone know if these two springs are inter-changeable.

 

will take a look tomorrow.. see if i can match some numbers up
