Anything we need to know for brake change ?
My newphew has changed the brakes and rotars on many of the family cars and has offered to change on the ones on my truck once I buy the new pads and routers to save me some $.
Is there anything different or special we need to know on changing things ? Any special tools needed other than something proper to push the caliper back in ?
I thought I read before the fronts were straight forward but there was something diff with the back ones ?
Thanks !

This should help....My rear rotors were stuck on pretty good and I wish I had looked at the video on how to get a stuck rotor off before I attempted the job.

You want a video of unscrewing 6 lug nuts and 2 Bolts??
The main issue is not unscrewing the "bleed screw" it's near where the brake hose meets the caliper. Don't undo it to avoid getting air (Not a major problem but can be aggrevating) into the brake lines
make sure you have some brake fluid on hand JIC.
Pull the wheel off.
Undo the 2 screws on the back side of the caliper (Either 10mm or 13mm can't remember) at opposite ends and slide the calipers off. Pull off the 2 spring clips at the top of the pads. Pull out the old pads, use c-clamp to compress calipers and push in new pads. Replace spring clips, and slide calipers back over housing and put wheels back on.

The only one I've heard of having to do something with the rear was some of the Mustangs where you had to screw the piston in, or something like that. Could be wrong, though.
Should be pretty much as 1st4x4 listed. At least since you have a 4x4.

I just did the fronts on mine about 2.5 weeks ago. As said before, they are pretty basic, no special tools needed. Cost me 144 in parts for new pads and 2 new rotors from Vatozone.
B.T.W. my truck only has 25K on it and the front brakes were toast.
