just got back from ford
after some fight they finaly gave me my codes poo22 camshaft intake bank 1, p0010 camsahft circuit bank 2, p0102 mass air sensor, p0113 intake air, p2106 throttle actuator.... they aare telling me i need a new engine 6500$$ figured i would post it before letting them touch all the truck is doing when u get to a red light or at idle it starts sounding like a diesel had the cam phaser replaced and spark plugs not that long ago any help would be greatly apreciated thanks

Well if you do need a motor, shop around. Look at getting a used motor. I got a 2006 5.4 with about 30k miles installed for under 4K out the door from the local dealership. I swear it feels like it has more power then my original 2005 motor that blew @ 50k miles.

i just dont trust them i wanna make sure it needs a engine i am currently driving it. it doesnt blow any smoke she just shakes and sputters once and while after it warms up.... took it to ford they ran the codes and the guy says it needs a new engine,after looking into the codes they dont seem to be that bad

I don't see anything in that code list that means that you need a new complete engine. You probably need the cam phasers replaced and a new throttle body. Sounds to me like these guys are trying to screw you over super hard. I bet they would replace what I said and pocket the $4500 remaining.

thats what i kinda thought i had the cam phasers done at 108,000 and the truck has 130,000 now and the noise only happens after she warms up but doesnt do it all the time when its warmthey are saying that the pump is pumping the oil to the top of the engine so it needs another engine....I have taken to 2 ford stealerships and to a mechanic i trust and the 2 ford dealership says needs a new engine the mechanic tells me replace the vct selenoids and go from there.....The noise that it makes sounds like somebody sticking a piece of wood in the fan blades but only at idle if u give it gas it shakes and sputures then kicks out
