I had a 4x2 for two winters in 01 and 02, and it did fine in the show. I would run with 2 - 4 tubes of sand. With a truck you have plenty of clearance in the snow. That is one nice looking FX2. Replace those Pirellis with Michelin LTX M/S2, add some tube sand, and you do fine in show.

You will enjoy the truck trust me. Your going to want to drive it 24/7 Wish I had the money to buy myself another one just to save the miles on my baby. haha. I drive another car right now as it is but I always want to drive my truck.

Get a 4x4. You could probably get a supercab xlt for around the same price as the supercrew.

I have a 2wd F150. It's awful in snow. While I've never gotten stuck.. there close calls. I only drove it through one winter as I spent last winter in Florida (nice change!).

I've sold my truck, and I think the next one will definitely a 4x4. I found an amazing deal on an '08 Reg cab 4x4 with the 4.6 with 10k miles. Only $14k.

I know how you feel though. I was going to buy a brand new 2010 reg cab. Had my heart set on it. Then I realized, 4x4 really is the way to go. Had a 4x4 2008 GMC Canyon prior to the F150. I could get though anything!

Hey man, my last truck was a regular cab Ranger 4x2 so I know exactly where you're coming from. I don't do alot of offroad driving, but I'd rather have my 4x4 and not need it than need 4x4 at some point and not have it.

My 4x4 has gone places I'd never have taken my Ranger and done so with no problem! I grew up in Detroit, so I know how much of a PITA winters can be. I don't think I'll ever own another vehicle that doesn't have 4x4 or AWD even though I live in NC now!

Granted the F150 will be better than your old Ranger, but if I lived in Great White North, I wouldn't go with anything but a 4x4.

Edited to add: Really nice looking FX2 though, what are they asking?

What does the XTR package include?

The FX2 is going for $22,988 CAD, and i guess the states don't have the XTR, its pretty much the XLT but has a chrome around the front grill, door handle, etc.

this is either a 2009 or 2010 XTR
