Btw, I admire you for being willing to take whatever work you are able to find instead of drawing on welfare (unemployment is not welfare; you have to pay into the system to collect that).
i guess that depends on the visual LOL LOL

sometimes its even hard to find odd jobs. i am lucky that my step dad owns his own pool company so if he is a man short on his crew he will give me a call. that has worked well for me in a few ways. i pick up a few hours of work from him but his clients have hired me to do their lawns when the lawn company they use couldn't make it or fix a fence that was leaning, and from them word of mouth with their friends. its not a ton of work, maybe 2 or 3 days a week if that, but it at least puts a little extra money in the bank.

my background is sales. when i was laid off i was making over 50k a year selling computers. trying to get back into that area has been brutal.

Congrats on getting the truck paid off. And good luck on finding a new job. Just paid mine off last year. Took that payment and put it towards paying off our credit card debt. We should be debt free by the end of next year wich is AWSOME!

Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders, and you're right, keep working hard and things will work out in the end. Getting the truck paid off is definitely a step in the right direction!

Finding a good job in sales could be pretty rough for a while, good luck!

I just refied mine and dropped 2% in interest....still have a few years but at only $275 a month I might start paying double that and have it paid off quicker. I have no credit card debt and only have about 5K left on student loans which is nice.

I miss having a vehicle I didn't have payments on....the mustang was mine outright but the truck is a much more useable vehicle then the stang.

Congrats on the payoff and keep your head up on the job market. My girlfriend was injured by a horse where she was working at the time and lacerated her liver. Was on unemployment for almost a year before she found a job at a hospital. I'm sure once I get done paying on the truck she will start pressuring me to buy a ring......women

That's how old I was when I got married. I dated my wife for about 7 years before I gave her her ring. Even then she had to give me a swift kick in behind to get me to go to the jewelry store :o It'll be 2 years in November.

Depending on your sales experience, my company is looking for a director of MDU Sales. The Austin office is off of Mopac between Braker and Parmer.

Congrats! I paid my off June 18! Had it for 3 years and 6 months. I made extra payments with any left over money from my monthly bills. I am feeling lighter. With the first extra money that was supposed to be to the truck payment (july 1st) I bought an Edge Evolution programmer on ebay 4 days ago and I install it today! Love the freedom!

I wish that's all my note was a month. Try doubling that. lol
