It could be the vacuum lines, solenoid or a bad IWE. You won't know which until it is checked out.
x2, its really a hit and miss at this point if you try and fix it yourself. you could spend 100 dollars on all the parts you think you may need or you could just bring it to the dealership and let them figure out whats wrong and then let them fix it and just have to pay your $100 deductible. let us know when you get her fixed

well its finally fixed. spent nearly 3 weeks at Ford..

Replaced the IWE solenoid along with both IWE's. Ended up being a pin hole sized vacuum leak.

The whining in the transmission ended up being ALOT larger problem than I would have guessed and resulted in it being replaced. I caught a glimpse of one of their receipts and I think I saw around $2300 for everything.. thank god for the warranty. Paid off big time in this case

how often would you say? i used it a few times out in vegas when i went on some trails and i use it pretty often out here in colorado with all the snow.

reviewing the paperwork this is what they said about the trans:

"damaged transmission caused by damaged planetary per trans diag. retrieved code p0733, p0734. also found trans making loud buzzing noise. removed and dissebled, found gear trans damaged by cracked plantary carrier and pump gear extremely worn. found line pressures low in all ranged. also found direct clutch hub welded onto carrier, found t/c contaminated. replaced trans, flushed lines and reflashed pcm to latest level.
