Thank you F150online Members

Well after a couple weeks of troubleshooting and lots of reading on this site I have finally found the answer to the drone/grinding sound...I was stuck on the rear diff but in fact it turns out that it is a result of the front wheels partially engaged in 4 High..... problem is rooted in the IWE Solenoid also known as the vacuum control solenoid. Now all I have to do is get the new version of that part and I will be smooth sailing.

Also on the way to being fixed as a result of this site is my cruise control not working, I have the parts on order from Ford and hopefully once I install them I will have my cruise back.

I honestly could not have done it without yall, the mechanics would have tore my entire truck apart trying to find this issue and cost lots and lots of money.

Below are the links to my issues and all the awesome help I got from everybody, hopefully by linking them in it will help another user out with similiar problems

Thanks everybody, I dont use the facebook but my wife still makes fun of me for being on the "MAN FACBOOK" (F150online.com) all the time!

Thanks Everybody!

Glad you got it fixed. Where were you in Iraq? I was on the "set up crew" at Speicher in 03-04.

Here's the primary link I had to use for my trouble shooting, after mine took a dump after I bought it last NOV. Saved me about a grand in labor.
