leveling kit and new tires

I'm new to the website and i'm looking for some advice

i have a 2005 supercrew 2wd and i wanted to know if it's possible or smart to run 35's without any kind of suspension lift as i really would rather not drop the 2000 big ones

also if anyone has a setup like this please post pics and specs

also does the size of wheels make a difference in the amount of lift i need?
Because i would prefer 20's but i might go with 18's if i have to

basically any advice regarding any of these subjects would be extremely helpful as i know very little about all of this, just wanna make my truck bigger and more aggressive

With a 2WD you're not going to be able to fit 35's without a lift of some kind. You'll probably need to level it just to fit 33's. You might be able to get away with a cheaper body lift, but I'll let someone with more experience than I tell you that. I'll be getting a set of 33's after my level (2WD), but they'll be squeezing in there hopefully without rubbing (much). 275-70-18.

The size of the wheels won't matter.. it's the overall size and width of the wheels and tires together that matter. As long as your backspacing is close to factory on the wheels you want, size won't make much of a difference.

But, again, seeing as I'm not an expert, if someone with more experience would like to put me in my place, feel free.

Alright, but Duskrider i heard that a body lift was hard on your suspension also the tires i'm looking at now are the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ's 33x13.50r20 seems like because the tires are wider it would make it worth just getting 33's but i have no idea if a tire that size would rub

Also if anyone has pictures of a setup similar to this please post

I have 2.5" level with 285-65-18 tires on stock rims and honestly, I wouldn't go with any wider. They are really close to rubbing on the knuckle.

I had 275/65-20 which are approx 34" tall on stock rims and no lift or level and they didnt rub at all. This was on my 2wd. Now I have 33x12.50/33 Nitto TG's on same rims with a 2" level and they rub at full lock. Its not the height thats a problem-I would even go as far as to say a 35" tire would fit stock if you could find one narrow enough which isnt going to happen. By no means would I go with a 13.50 as that will just make it much worse and would not work with stock wheels without hitting the UCA.
