I'm wondering if anyone has the Putco LED Truck Bed Lights. LINK

I went with the Recon bed LED's and love 'em

 

There are some threds here talking about bed lights. Might want to do a search.

 

i just bought some cheap underglow off ebay for 20 bucks
ima use that much cheaper and its actually really bright

I did a search and found a bunch of info but nothing specifically on the Putco lights. Was just wondering if anyone had them and how they were. Being as nobody seems to have them, or any info on them, that seems to speak for itself pretty well. I'll look at the Recon's and a couple of others and then make my decision.

I think a few people have them...look good.

You can check out Oznium.com and look at the surface mount LED bars or some of their flexible LED lighting as well...works great under the bedrails and mounts with 3M tape.

I have the surface mounts (2 on each side) and have them zip tied into place with a switch in the cab.

Great upgrade if you do a lot of fishing/camping or night work in the bed of the truck

2 on either side wired in parellel and to a switch in the cab. Photos in my gallery of how bright they are...they light up the entire truck bed

in fact if you go to the link and click on "action shots" there is one of my F150 bed.....didn't even notice it was up there

there are 2 on each side underneath by bed rail caps....I have a drop in bed liner which has plastic tabs underneath the edges that I used to zip tie them into place so they are secure. Then zip tied the wires underneath each side and then ran a single power wire to the cab up thru the driver side kick panel/floor area where the stock wires come in. Then to a switch and to the battery for power.

 

Thanks...can you see them when they are not on or are they tucked up under the bed rails out of sight?

 

Tucked under the bed rails and out of site. Can only see them if you look up under the bed rail from inside the bed (laying on your back etc)
