Throttle Body...Worth it???

So i'm looking for to get a little more out of my truck before i throw some long tubs and supercharger(gotta save some $$$) on her.

But i'm just wondering if a bigger throttle body....75mm or 80mm would give me a little more or just burn more gas???

Its not worth it. Just use the search feature and search "throttle body spacer" and see what you get. Always search before posting

He is not asking about a spacer, but a throttle body. They are both no, however. A larger throttle body will only help if you have a supercharger. Otherwise, the stock one delivers all teh fuel your engine can handle.

A "bigger throttle body" is different from a "throttle body spacer," no?

The very best mod you can do to these engines is a tuner, if you don't have one(other that a supercharger). With a tuner and the Gott's mod to the intake tube, you have done about all you can easily do.

Your truck's throttle body is already 75mm if it's a 5.4. The larger throttle body would give you marginal power, but might be a worthwhile mod for a supercharger.

No it's not worth the money. I don't think it offers anything in terms of power or efficiency (if your using the stock Ford programming).

You're better off going through the mod stages that are pretty much standard.

Stage 1:
Full exhaust
CAI (Gotts)
Custom tuned programmer

Stage 2:
Rear end gears
Long tube headers
Supercharger

Stage 3:
Supercharger (not a typo)
Head work
Cams
Stroker
