Are these trucks not like older ones where you can drain the TQ seperatly? I have never dropped the transmission out of a truck newer than 97.

Ive been slowly getting mine done everytime I end up taking the truck in (free synthetic oil changes) this upcomming trip I will be having the brake fluid changed and power steering fluid changed.

Each fluid flush from Ford is usually in the 80-150 range.
Why? Who is telling you this needs to be done? It sure isnt Ford...

The TQ drain plug was discontinued sometime in 2001 I believe.

This whole thread has been about how different dealers will tell you different things to make money off of you. Try getting the info from FORD, not from a dealer. I already provided a link.

Changing the transfer case fluid couldn't be more simple. There is a drain plug and a fill plug. Remove both and let it drain. Reinstall drain plug and fill to fill plug level and reinstall. I did use a hand operated suction gun to fill. These are cheap. The fuel filter is located inside the frame about under the driver. You will need an inexpensive tool available at any parts store to unlock the connections. Don't use any additives anywhere. If you do buy the suction gun, you can use it to siphon the power steering fluid out of the pump and then refill it. Bleeding the brakes can be done occasionally to "change" the brake fluid. That is probably a good idea to do once in a blue moon.

What are the exact fluids and parts I'll need to get, as if Ford was doing it?

The Speed and Truck World folks said they'd do it for much less. They've done all the aftermarket work on my truck to date.

I'd like to order whatever parts or fluids I need from Tasca so I can get this show on the road.

You don't need to order fluids, the shipping will kill you. Buy them locally.

Transmission and transfer case - Mercon V ATF
Rear axle - 75W140 full synthetic, if you have a LS, also a bottle of friction modifier from the dealer.
Front axle - 80W90 conventional, 75W90 synthetic is okay too.

for the fuel filter this is what you need to remove it:

OEM / Fuel line disconnect tool for GM, Ford and Chrysler

If they try to sell you something fancier/more expensive. dont get it. i did. doesnt work.

Only filters you should be worried about doing youself are air, oil and fuel. You need the clip tool mentioned to change the fuel filter.

Take it to a shop to have the transmission serviced.

Depending on which brand of differential fluid you go with, some already have F.M. added in. Check the bottle.

You can't go wrong with Motorcraft filters - and those should be available at local parts stores. Wix/NAPA are acceptable alternatives.

If you are having a shop change the fuel filter, they should have the disconnect tools.
