My turn on the power window fix!

Well, I pulled into the garage just now and rolled the driver's front window up and POP!! So I guess ya'll know what I'm doing this weekend. What's ironic is that I was just looking at one of those threads yesterday. I'll do a search of course but if anyone has any tips they would be appreciated. Thanks!

JDB, your's was the thread I was reading yesterday. Good work! I'll definitely be using that. I'm kinda bummed about not being able to just replace the clips. Oh well. It gives me a reason to work on my truck!

I had to figure out how to get the door panel off at 9:30 at night to wedge something under the glass because it was about to rain, no instructions... took me forever. Once that was off and I had the new window reg it took me all of 20-30 minutes to install it, super easy.

I had good luck with a piece of 1x2 cut the the right length... I had to drive around for about a week while I waited for parts.

I could just pop the board out to let the window open so I could swipe through the security gate at work... then just push the window up and put the board back in.

Thanks to JDB04F150! I had to rig the window with some wood for a few days but I got my new regulator/motor assembly in today. I did nick my tint even though I was carefull. Aside from the new unit being wired backwards and having to rewire it everything went well. Thanks for the help! I love this forum!
