E-fan Question

i just got my e-fan installed.... all works good

just that the truck now runs 6 deg hotter then it did before

was running 192 (used edge to check this)

now with the new fans it run 198

i have two 15" fans

when i run only one it runs 198
when i run both it runs 198

i have adjusted the controlers all the way
and no change...

This may be stating the obvious, but make sure the fans are turning the right way and pulling air through the radiator.

yes they are going the right way...

i have heard that the 5.5 likes it between 200 210.

but then why was the truck running 192 from the factory
and why can i NOT get the e-fans to run below 198..

Yeah, tell us what controllers are you using and which fans? Do you have a way to check the temperature at the radiator when the fans kick on? Where did you place the temperature probes? Did you wire one fan into the A/C clutch so that it turns on when you use your air conditioner?

the kit was from junes modified

thats all i know

good a great price on it...

wired both for the a/c and it all works fine...

no way to check temp other than the edge

probes are near the water inlet ( top pass side of rad)
