is there any way to

trade my truck to a small car/truck and lop the payments off on some one else?

I was just wondering, I really like the truck, and its solid.
43K miles, I got it when it had 20K miles, i have every sales slip and wrote down every oil change.

oil was changed between 3K to 3,100 miles, MC oil and filter.
Cleaned and plenty of extras.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on doing this, or had done this before.

I love the truck, but the the 16MPG I been getting is a little less than what I wanted, and I don't really need such a big truck.
Sure its nice, and big. But i no longer use it for anything truckish.

Has never been loaded down as far as I know, and only pulled a very light loaded trailer (less than 500lbs)

all highway miles.

If I could just find a small car and have the payments taken over, or straight up sell the truck and go buy a cheep used car for cash i would.

Ideas?

Here is a list of what it has/comes with.

Factory sub box, w/ kicker 8" and kicker 300W amp
Pioneer AVH p-3100 DVD and remote
Gryphon with cutsom tunes.
Grill guard black
Tinted windows, vent visors.
New tires (less than 10K miles)
Has factory bed liner and towing package.

Try Carmax or another local (not manufacturer) used car lot. In my experience, you have the best chance of trading even up or even getting a little cash when not dealing with a Ford or other dealer.

Check KBB, look at local lots, craigslist, and check the paper for values for similar trucks. Make sure YOU KNOW what your truck is worth and what you are willing to settle for (highly unlikely you will get what you think the truck is worth).

well KBB says over 17,000. I would take say 15,000 for the truck, but i posted a craigs list ad for 16,000.

truck is in almost prefect shape, and has a whole list of extras that may bring slightly more from a private seller.

Ill see where that goes.

if some one wanted to trade a small car and take over payments that would be good too.
