Factory Step Boards

I am looking for availability or a part number for the OEM step boards for a 2005 F150 Lariat Supercab. The step boards I am looking for I believe are stainless, straight boards with 45* black caps on the ends. I am having a very difficult time finding these. I have seen them on several trucks but no luck finding a set for my truck. Thanks, penkalad .

I second that. These are nowhere to be found. I think you can get them from Tasca, but they're all parted out into specific pieces you would have to order. PM me if you have any luck finding them!

You will probably have to go with after market or find on ebay or something. www.fordaccessoriesstore.com does not list them for a 2005, only 2006 and later.

Take a look:

If you are talking about the ones that Jackedup99 has on the red truck in his albums they are 500 bucks PER SIDE at a dealer. I've asked 3 different dealers and they all gave me the same price. I was looking for just one because one of mine are bent.

That's exactly what I said to the guy at the sales counter. I told him right there that it was crazy and he agreed.

Now I'm going to see if I can straighten mine out.

Though he said that the black painted version is only $300 per side. What a deal huh.

If you want the black ones just go get yours painted or coated with Line-X Xtra. It would only be about 200-250 bucks for the Line-X

Ya thats what I was seriously considering for a while but each way has its perks- the Line-x is tough but it has that weird texture, which actually doesnt look to bad it just looks tough / but a regular black one just would still give my truck a clean-good looking feel. haha idk........If someone was willing to I would probably go with the trade otherwise Im just going to Line-x um.

Yep, those are the boards I was looking for. I met a Motorcraft Rep today, he is going to see what he can find for me. He thinks they may be available as a crash part only. So each piece would have to be ordered separately. I will post if he gets part numbers back to me. Thanks.

Penkalad- There have been quite a few sets over time in the classifieds on this site. I like those but went with a different RB- stainless w/black steps and ends because they (the ones you want) were so expensive and I could even buy at dealers discount. I have seen them as cheap as $150. for really clean take-offs. Average was about$250.-$300. That's for near new take-offs. If they still use that type on the current trucks you might still be able to snag a set. The ones you want are the STRAIGHT (I believe they are actually aluminum) with the 45 degree black ends, right??? Not the flattened tube with the angle ends.

Yes they are the straight boards. They were a $350 option in 2005. Hopefully the Motorcraft Rep will get back to me soon with some numbers and prices. I am not opposed to a take off set but afraid shipping would make it cost prohibitive.

Check out Ford Accessories. I think they offer all step options that were available from Ford as production options.
