Is there a rip, tear, hole in the boot or is it leaking around it?

Hey thanks for the reply, it is leaking around the boot, the boot does not have tear in it.

It's better to replace the halfshaft with a reman. Once the boot cracks, dirt is getting into the CV anyway.
