4x4 question
4x4 question
Hey guys!
This past weekend I went to the race in Talladega and camped. It rained all day Saturday, so you can imagine what happens with water and dirt with all of those people... So I needed my 4x4. I have the shifter in the floor. When I put it in 4 high, I always give it a second to engage. Well I was riding through the camp site and got stuck in 2wd. When I stopped I shifted into 4 high and I felt it engage but when I gave it a little gas it pulled for about 2 seconds and then clicked and lost power to the front wheels. As soon as that happen I let off of the gas and it re-engaged, and did the same thing again. On the third time it stayed engaged until I put it back into 2wd. It did this a couple more times during the weekend. I don't really know where to start. I read all the 4x4 system threads and I'm still lost. I'm hoping that because it rained so much that water got down into the solenoid on the firewall and messed it up. Does this sound feasible? I also have no noises or no grinding.
Thanks!
