Cel

Hey guys, I was on my way in to work this morning when I noticed the cel came on, (the engine, not the wrench). The only code I have been able to pull so far is the IAC code for too low of an idle.

She was doing 65-70 just fine the whole time, fluid temps looked fine so I kept on truckin. I hit traffic & take to the surface roads, still doing ok, I take a right hand turn she dies on me. I coast into a parking lot, turn the key off, and go start again, she starts relatively easy, idles fine, only code is still the iac, I take off again, this time staying on surface roads though I did get up to 50 at one point.

I am now in downtown Houston waiting for a light when all of a sudden there's a surge in the rpms (ac off the whole time) I get up into the 900's then drops to the 300's then dies. I go to start first time nothing, second time it's turning but not firing so I step on the gas, and she roars to life. I make the rest of the trip to the office, check the codes still just the iac, I parked, programmed back to stock, and have cleared the codes for now.

Anyone experience anything similar before?

I got down to about an eighth of a tank yesterday before filling up, outside of that everything has been the same, I'm thinking (hoping) it's just a gunked up tb at this point.

I will be searching in the meantime, and read all the IAC threads
