anyone change the leds in an 05 mirror??

I've been searching and searching. Has anyone changed the leds in their mirrors? I can't seem to find anything other then people adding leds to non led mirrors. I want to leave the leds as is, but change the cover to clear or clear with some nightshading on the inside. Just not sure how to remove the lense to do it.

Going to have to pop the mirror glass out take the 4 torx screws for the mirror cap off and all is visable after that. Never seen anyone clear the lens out yet but I tapped of the blinkers power and ground and customed turn signals into the front of the mirror on the caps dividing line. They blink with the signals and hazards and are barely noticable until you get close up

I don't understand what you did, mine already blink as turnsignals. Or did you remove them from the parking lights, so they are always off and just blink with the signals?

from the pictures in the link it's a bulky piece of amber not going to change. Maybe I will just nightshade the outside of it a little to tint it.
