Nearly 3 years and I just noticed this
You wouldn't believe the crap people wanted me to pay for in 30+ years as an insurance adjuster. People didn't look at their cars closely until they had an accident. When they did look after the accident, the found a lot of flaws they tried to blame on the accident. The fit and finish now is far better than it was in the 70s.

P.S. This was ALL factory, not from any theft damage.
Mine is out of square pretty bad as well and it was bought new. I didn't notice it until I put a cover on it and was measuring diagonally. Almost 5 yrs later it's still out of square. I considered adjusting it, but it seems one side is shorter than the other instead of being mounted cattywampus.
Even if you buy it new, you'll never know! I have seen plenty of vehicles with damage when they are new.
When buying used vehicle, look at the corner of the windshield or rear glass for paint dots.... The dots are the codes from the different repair contractors who visit the dealers lot on a weekly basis. They mark every vehicle with their specific color so as not to have to look at the same vehicle twice. They have interior people, dent people, paint people and others........................
