05 F150 FX4 Factory Fender Trim

I've looked all over and cannot find these for sale.
I have a two tone Black and Grey Truck.
The factory fender trim is grey but it's oxidizing pretty bad now
and turning white.

Anyone have a good source for new fender trim panels?

Thanks

I think I found them on tascaparts.com

Anyone know if the front and rear parts are the same?

take 'em off and paint them black yourself

I did it on my 06 FX4. It's pretty easy to do so. I scrubbed them really good with a hard bristle brush, some Simple Green cleaner, and then used Krylon Fusion Plastic Black spray paint.

came out very good...but then I traded the truck in 2 days later
and they are truly black after that...not some pseudo gray/black thing

I think I spend about 3 hours of time and maybe $15 in parts. pretty good trade-off IMO vs. buying new

I'm confused, they're plastic so how do they oxidize? Sounds like you may have dried up wax on them or they're fading from UV exposure. Before buying new or even painting, try cleaning them real good.

Man don't waste your money on more stock flares. If you're gonna buy anything get some nice aftermarket ones.

Try cleaning them and giving them a shot of Krylon Fusion paint first.

What kind of paint did you use?

I ask because I don't wannt go black as my truck is two-toned and the grey
fenders pretty much match the my lower grey tone on my truck.
I hit Krylons site and looked at their colors but can't find a grey that
looks like it's even close to matching.

I used Duplicolor and got it at Autozone. The color is Dark Shadow Gray T299

Heres the can (I think, I can double check tomorrow)

Also if you want them to match better sand them down and get a gloss clear coat.

Yogi is spot on I will be doing this soon to mine as well. I'm gonna hit a junk yard first to see if I can get a new rear passenger one mine has a gash in it

I will be doing the same steps as KR-Texas did in his write-up:

PTM FX4 Fender Flares

Are you going to be taping them off? It might be faster to take them off, only took me about 45 min to remove them all.

Yeah I should have said that, I will definitely be taking them off first that seems much easier and much quicker
