Has anyone painted the chrome grille surround?

I have a 07 super crew, with chrome around the outside of the grille, and black around the grille it self. I am sure I can paint the balck plastic piece with Krylon paint, but has anyone painted the chrome part? It's plastic also, so I would guess its like painting the headlight? Sorry if I am answering my own question.

I have. Turned out pretty good. First I took apart the grill, then I sanded down the chrome on plastic with 600 grit sandrpaper I believe. Enough to dull the shine. Then I hung the surround and painted it with a rattle can. Used duplicolor. No an exact match, but I did not clear coat it either. Maybe I'll do that later. There are no pics of the work itself or closeups, but in my gallery there is a picture of the truck before and after.

Good luck.
