Hey guys,

I just recently picked up a 2006 Ford F150 FX4 Stepside/Flareside truck. Love it but Im looking to replace the tailgate since the interior has been bent quite a bit on the right hand side.


Would anyone happen to have a Tailgate for sale or know where I can get one? I've been looking online for 3 weeks and I cant come across anything not damaged..

Ive checked with Ford themselves but they are asking $700 without being painted. I can fix the tailgate with some Diamond Plating but Id prefer not too unless its a last resort..

Please let me know.

Try looking in the for sale section here. Always lots of options there, yet again this is a sort of obscure one. Good luck in your search!

 

Check out craigslist.org. You may be able to find something that way.

Other is tasca ford parts in Flordia. Shipping may kill you, though. Not sure.

I say diamond plate it until you find an option that works for you. Soon enough you'll forget it was there.

Page 98 of their catalog. It will be unpainted and no hardware. but they are cheap.

 

Im on Page 98 but I only see a Styleside not Flareside/Stepside

LMC Truck only shows the styleside tailgate.

Here's what I found:
Tailgates on Tasca

They don't have a price listed on there. They are usually a good amount cheaper than a dealer.

The flares side trucks weren't really common so it's going to hard to find an undamaged used tailgate anywhere. You might be forced to buy new from either your dealer or an online on like Tasca.
