Ive seen the light come, went another 16 miles and put in 28.3 gallons and I only have the 30 gallon tank, but that was pulling the 29 foot enclosed with a head wind. lol

Yeah, I believe that 50 miles till empty marker is assuming something like 60-65mph uninterrupted. You won't get 50 miles in mixed city/hwy driving. More like 35-40. It adjustsitself pretty quickly as you drive based on current estimated fuel usage.

You can be driving and see the 50 miles till empty marker, drive 2 miles down the road and it will say 45 miles left!

Every other Ford vehicle I've ever driven gave me about 50 miles to empty. My current truck did not. It might go 25. Learned that one the hard way. And guess what, my fuel pump didn't burn up!!!!!!!! My whole family drives until the light comes on and not one of us has ever burned up a fuel pump.

Just because your pump HAS NOT FAILED YET does not mean it won't. Take your chances. It is well known that fuel pumps must be submerged to stay cool. But hey, what do I know.
