Hi Guys,

I was at a gas station filling up the other day when a guy was asking me questions about my truck. While I was telling him about the mods, I forgot to completley tighten the gas cap. I got about 1/4 mile down the road and the check engine light came on. My Gryphon is displaying the following:
P0446 ervaporative emission system vent control circuit

I have tried to clear the codes and for some reason, next time I start the truck, the code is back and the check engine light is back on.

Do I need to go to the dealer to get this fixed?

Having exactly the same problem but with a p0457

 

I believe the code can take up to 48hrs to reset after the cap is fixed pretty sure i read that on a few other threads here but someone will correct e if I am wrong.

 

Try disconnecting the battery! It will re set the pcm.
