how to fit 35's??
When i have to replace tires im going with bfg KM2's 100% sure! Right now i just have some that someone was selling for cheap off craigslist. 35" Hankook ATm RF10 maybe. There all right not a bad tire but def not a bfg either.
since this thread is up i might as well ask......i have the 18 in stockerz. i really want to get f/stone destination m/t's but the biggest they have is 325-60-18 will i have any problems? i have a 3 in lvl kit ( not shown in sig) would the 325 end up being somewhere around the 37's? (edit) They also make them in 285-65-18 that i know will fit fine but bigger is better lol
OK, per a metric tire size calculator found here: http://www.tyres1.com/Calculators.aspx
325x60x18 = 33.4x12.8x18
285x65x18 = 32.6x11.2x18
So, the 325's are not even as tall as the 35's many of us run with a leveling kit. The only problem you may have with those is they are 12.8" wide which is pushing it for the factory wheel. I run 35x12.50's on the factory FX4 18's and that is about as wide as I would go. When a wide tire is mounted on a narrow rim, it pulls the sidewalls in causing you to drive on just the center of the tire. Is .3" going to make a huge difference, probably not, but I doubt that the factory FX4 18's are wide enough to satisfy Firestone's recommended minimum wheel width which may have an effect on any warranty or road hazard protection you get with them.
For what it's worth, a buddy has the Firestone Destination M/T's on his truck in factory size, while they look great) they are loud as hell humming down the road, waaaay louder than my 35" BFG KM2 MT's.
