couple quick questions
couple quick questions
my first round of stuff for the truck has been a K&N air filter, and an oil change for now, i used motorcraft 5-20 and a motorcraft filter. is this the best oil to use? i plan on running it 5k, was just wondering if you actually see any mpg improvements with full synthetic. i know its a truck dont worry about mpgs, but if i can squeeze another half or full mile to the gallon out of it i will. i figured since it was so thin anyways it wouldnt matter really.
where is the best place to buy weathertech floormats. i dont need the digital fit ones right, just the 100 dollar ones? the back seat matts cover the hump right? if i have a tan interior should i get black ones or tan? there isnt a supercrew/supercab difference in matts?
if i do a 2.5 level in the front, the front will be a half inch higher than the rear, is there any way to lift the rear a half inch?
i know a 3 inch block will raise it a full inch, then im a half an inch high in the rear, and i think an aal raises the rear an inch and a half. is that correct? can i have as cut me a 2.5 block? are there shackle lifts? trucks got 40k on it so i dont think i need to replace shocks just yet.
i could just do a 2 inch level, but i plan on getting a programmer, and 35's at some point and it will see mud and such, so id like for it to be able to have as much room as possible to fit the tires. if i dont find myself driving it offroad much then ill probably just do a 2 inch and 33 inch bfg all terrains.

MC semi-synth 5w-20 is a great oil at any price. MC FL820-S oil filters as well. No mileage gains from going tofull synth over this stuff.
Mats? No clue. I use newspaper

Level. Stay 2" & 33's and don't touch the rear. Yer truck will be less of a dog (unless you also drop $$$ on ~4.56 gears - don't even think about doing 35's without regearing) - and yer front suspension will thank you by wearing less. And so will yer tranny.
Shocks - @ 40k the stockers are usually shot. I suppose if you insisted upon 2.5", you go use those shocks some have installed with the springs (there's a thread on that around here) - it raised the rear a bit.
***EDIT*** Here ya go sir - found that thread: https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...cs-inside.html
Good luck sir! I'm sorry I could not be of more assistance. My sincerest apologies fer being so ignant...

Stick with the MC 5W-20, and MC filter, dealer gets pissed if you don't haha. I change mine every 3k, but I run my truck hard and and its getting up there in miles.
Get tan mats. I went with the husky liners (I love the lip that catches liquid).
Still running my stock shocks after almost 90k, let us know what ya find there. My truck is smoother than some I've had, but horse and buggy is still an accurate description.

see i have heard that 35s are only bad if you dont get a tuner and change the tire size, so the computer knows what the tires are really doing. so even with a tuner, the tire size changed in it, and 35s its still hard on transmissions?
also, is my 07 5.4 supposed to have a flat filter instead of a cone filter?
